Most of the speak outs are ads now. Sad but true.

It should be noted that the property owner for the over 2000 sq ft facility offered a reduced rentRead Morei n 2013 and further reductions in rents in 2014 to accommodate the needs of the food bank remaining in Key Center. The building is furnished with energy efficient heating, cooling, windows and insulation. Additionally, this is the only Fish food bank that does not have ANY salaried staff and functions with a 100% volunteer staff. How Fish will continue to meet the needs of the numbers of needy on the Key with a mobile food bank without increasing costs is curious to say the least.

Fish Food bank has a mission statement to feed the hungry. This they do well. However, BISCHOFFRead MoreFO OD BANK clients on the Peninsula have a greater need than just food. They need clothing, blankets, utensils, toilet paper, soap, and hundreds of other items which are so generously donated by our supporting community. More then this, they also need acceptance, friendship, and the comfort of a warm room while they wait to receive their food. We have dozens and dozens of homeless who have no way to store food. They must come more often than once a week. Transportation is a maior problem for most of our hundreds of clients. The BISCHOFF FOOD BANK at KEY center is much easier for many to walk to. Pleas keep the BISCOFF FOOD BANvK open
