1930's Maytag Racers Arrive At Tradewinds Treasure Gallery

Good things can come in small packages and that is true of these Maytag motor powered children's race cars!  Here is a bit of history about the small but very significant racers that were popular in the 1920's and 1930's.  The Maytag Racers contributed to the launching of two major children's racing associations that still exist today and were the predecessor of the modern racing go-kart with its sidewinder mid-mounted engine. The cars were built by a former SCCA sedan racer and race car fabricator, along with a dedicated team of skilled craftsmen.  Features include a museum quality oak chassis, custom water cut 6061T6 alloy steering wheel, custom machined drive pulleys, Mag wheels & brakes.  Note: Maytags were street legal in some states in the 1930's but may not be licensable or insurable any longer.  They are primarily designed for off-road use.  Available for purchase with 25% of the proceeds to be donated to the non-profit, Million Kids.  Come on in to see these cuties at Tradewinds Treasure Gallery, 7700 Pioneer Way, Suite 104 in Gig Harbor!
