Strengthening Community Ties While Providing Affordable & Personalized Service to Gig Harbor Snowbirds & Residents

Sarah Friesen, owner of Gig Harbor Home Management & Concierge Services, Inc., has unmatched experience providing top-notch home management and concierge services in the small community of Gig Harbor.  And she’s quick to point out that her rates are substantially lower than you’ll find anywhere else in town.

Sarah Friesen’s entrance into the world of Snowbirds began as a part-time position for a local family in need of someone to watch over their second home, manage a vacation property, and shop for new furnishings.  “A Home Manager was born and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity they gave me to discover my passion for helping others care for their homes,” she says.  Those humble beginnings are now the foundation for a solid community-based business that is incorporated, bonded and insured.

When homeowners leave town for extended periods, Gig Harbor Home Management will visit the home to complete regular home inspections.  “We e-mail them a customized report, along with pictures if anything is out of the ordinary. If seasonal maintenance or repairs are needed, we’ll make the necessary arrangements.  But we don’t charge a mark-up on the contractor’s bill,” she says. “I want to find the best solution for my clients, and marking up the price can compromise my relationships with contractors.” She has established relationships with service providers she knows and trusts – including window cleaners, landscapers, plumbers and professional repairmen.

Gig Harbor Home Management also checks on vacant homes while they sit on the market, working with the Realtor to ensure the home is free of unexpected emergencies, and that it makes a good impression for potential buyers. “Moving the blinds, sweeping off the front porch and wiping away the dead flies in the windowsill can make all the difference for a potential buyer,” Sarah points out. “And if my support can help a Realtor sell a home, then everyone wins.”

Vacation rentals in Gig Harbor are a great tourist attraction for the community, but Sarah discovered long ago that not all vacation rental owners actually live in town. “Managing your rental from a distance can be a full-time job and full of challenges,” Sarah says. “Gig Harbor Home Management handles bookings on behalf of owners, makes sure the house is always ready for the next guest, and then provides them with Concierge Services during their stay.” Always working in the best interest of her client, she insists on not taking any financial cut on the services she books. “I don’t want anything to get in the way of me finding the best service for my client, and I feel it is a way to support other local business owners. We’re all in this together.”

Ask Sarah what brings the most intrigue to her day, and she smiles quickly – knowing that finding the perfect home furnishing for her Client is full of challenge and excitement. “My Home Shopping Service supports new homeowners and designers with putting the finishing touches on a house. I will buy everything from bedding and bath towels, to dishes and flowers pots for the patio. So many people just don’t have the time – or desire – to pull all the final pieces of a room together, and I find a passion in shopping for others and finding exactly what makes them feel comfortable in their own space,” she says.  Local Uptown store Bella Kitchen Essentials played a major role in providing dinnerware, flatware and stemware for two of the kitchens she just recently furnished. “I loved supporting another small business throughout these major projects. Gig Harbor is very lucky to have such a wonderful store here.”

When meeting Sarah, one quickly senses her dedication to caring for homes with personalized service, attention to details and trustworthiness.  “Sarah is a standout amongst her contemporaries,” says long-time client Tim Gartland.

“I only take on a limited number of clients in order to provide personalized service, and it all begins with a free in-home consultation. And I only partner with service providers who are committed to high quality work and excellent customer retention,” Sarah shares. “When someone hires Gig Harbor Home Management & Concierge Services, Inc. they can relax, knowing their home or vacation property is in dependable, experienced hands. And if we can meet the needs of our clients while at the same time supporting local businesses, then it only makes our small community stronger.”
