High Tides Running November 9th ~~ UPDATE Nov. 17th *** Nike NXN National Team Champions December 7, 2013

The Tide's X Country boys team running 1st, 2nd and 3rd win the state championships on the podium for Logan Carrol, Wolfgang Beck, and Tristan Peloquin.  Along with Mahmoud Moussa in 9th, Michael Hammer at 29th, Jordan Oldenburg at 39th, Jack Shields running 73rd they garnered the state championship for the entire team.
Congratulations to the team and coach Mark Wieczorek.  They seem to be having a good time winning!

The Tides X country girls team placed 11th in the State championships from the efforts of Brenna Peloquin running 4th, Miranda Nelson at 69th,  Riley Paul at 83rd, Mackenzie Nelson in 88th, Kylie Guenther running 118th, Emily Meyer in 124th, McKenzie Meyer at 133rd and with the support and efforts of the entire team and coach Wieczorek. 

These teams and coaching staff are bringing recognition and credit to Gig Harbor Peninsula, thanks for all your hard work and commitment. 

Stay tuned as they'll soon be heading off to the Regional meet November 16th with the best of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, Hawaii and Wyoming, running for records and grins.

Update November 17th, 2013:
Gig Harbor Boys team takes 1st place for Championship Teams at regionals November 16, 2013 in Boise, Idaho
They eked out victory from North Spokane XC Club with a six second lead.
The team remains #1 in the nation at DyeStat.com

Gig Harbor girls came in 18th running against the best from Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, Hawaii, Alaska, Oregon and Washington.

These runners and their coaching staff have given a phenomenal output of time, energy, dedication and support to each other.  They've put Gig Harbor on the Cross Country Map boldly.

Next up is Nationals in Portland, Oregon December 7th.  Here's  "hopin' and wishin' and prayin'" they'll have some hot shoes that day too.
