  • Why Go: Love garage sale shopping, but hate driving from sale to sale following those cardboard "garage sale" signs? You're in luck, a local Seattle church has put together a big One-Day Rummage Sale with all kinds of goodness up for grabs. This weekend you'll only need to type in one address into that GPS: . Come and browse nick-nack after nick-nack and hopefully, walk away with a treasure.
  • Pricing: Admission is free. All proceeds benefit the Tides Scholarship Foundation.

  • Where/When: 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15 at the Uptown Gig Harbor parking lot (next to the .)
  • Why Go: The Gig Harbor Farmers Market is now in the third week of its season, and it's rolling right along. If you happen to be there between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. this Saturday, you'll have the pleasure of listening to live music while you shop. Steve Stefanowicz, "The Human Jukebox" can play just about any song you can name. So request a song, buy local and enjoy your Saturday at the market.
  • Pricing: Admission is free.

 

The Spring Fair in Puyallup

  • Where/When: Thursday - Sunday at the Puyallup Fair Grounds.
  • Why Go: If you're a fan of the Puyallup Fair, you'll probably enjoy the Spring Fair just as much. And as long as it's not raining you may even enjoy it a little bit more. The Spring Fair has a little bit of fun for everyone. The crowd will be significantly smaller than at the Puyallup Fair, and you still get to enjoy all the same attractions. Animal exhibits, garden shows, a rodeo, a science fair and even a monster truck show! Here's the forecast from the National Weather Service. Looks like Saturday and Sunday has your best bets for clear weather.
  • Pricing: Adults: $9; Students (6-18): $7 (free admission of Thursday); Five & under: free.

 

  • Where/When: Friday and Saturday at . 
  • Why Go: Join Paradise Theatre for the opening weekend of their new production, The Dairy of Anne Frank. The play is inspired by recently discovered writings from the diary of Anne Frank and survivor accounts and have been meshed into this adaptation of the original stage play. Be prepared for a fresh new telling of this classic, moving story.
  • Pricing: Adults: $20 - $22; Seniors/Military: $17 - $19; Students: $10 - $12. Main Floor and Manine Seating is available.

 

Tacoma Rainiers Home Opener

  • Where/When: 7:05 p.m. Friday, April 15 at Cheney Stadium at 2502 South Tyler St. Tacoma.
  • Why Go: While the Mariners travel to Kansas City, go root for the Rainiers, which is the Triple-A team for the M's! Come out to the newly renovated Cheney Stadium for this Friday for its home opener. There will even be a fireworks display immediately following the game!
  • Pricing: Tickets range between $10 and $30.
