  • Why Go: Celebrate Earth Day in this Friday in Historic downtown Gig Harbor. The main attraction for this event will be the visit of the historic schooner “Adventuress." The 133-foot vessel and her crew will be there to offer educational programming, answer questions and help educate visitors of all ages about the local coastal environment.

Easter Bonnet Pet Parade at the Gig Harbor Farmers Market

  • Where/When: 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 23 at Uptown Gig Harbor (next to )
  • Why Go: This weekend at the Gig Harbor Farmers Market, you and your pooch can both celebrate Easter in style. Come check out the best dressed animals in their colorful bonnets and outfits at the farmers market this Saturday. This is the first year for the event.

"The Light Brings Forth the Seeing": A Collection of Fine Oils by Linda Jacobus

  • Where/When: On display at the  through Sunday, April 24.

  • Why Go: Pick up some new skills in the kitchen at this hands-on cooking class from Bella Kitchen Essentials. The class will focus on classic Northern Italy dishes. And the best part, once you've successfully prepared your dish, you'll get to enjoy your creation complete with wine pairings. Buon appetito!

  • Why Go: If you've never toured the Boat Shop, you're missing out. Come out this weekend and see the birthplace of the Thunderbird Sailboat and much more. Tours are usually held every Saturday, but in celebration of Gig Harbor's Earth Heritage Day, the Boat Shop tours will be held all day Friday as well.
