Gig Harbor Boy Scouts Offering Christmas Tree Pick Up Service on Jan. 5

Gig Harbor Boy Scout Troop 244 will be picking up Christmas trees as part of its fundraising event.

If you still have your Christmas tree at your home, Gig Harbor Boy Scouts of Troop 244 will be picking them up this Saturday, Jan. 5, as part of its annual fundraiser. The trees will be recycled into compost chips.

They ask you to have your tree at curbside by 8 a.m. Suggested donations of $5 to $25 can be made by attaching an envelope to the tree with checks made payable to "Boy Scout Troop #244".

To find out if your neighborhood is included, to request pick up or learn more about Scouting, please call Cheryl at 253-686-0892.

No wreaths or flocked trees accepted.
