Gig Harbor will likely get a dusting of snow on Wednesday night, as snow levels drop around the Puget Sound region.
The National Weather Service says snow and rain showers are likely after 10 p.m. on Wednesday. The snow level will be 700 feet with a 50 percent chance of showers, and little or no accumulation is expected.
On Thursday, a mix of snow and rain showers is expected, but the chance of precipitation will decrease to 30 percent with little or no accumulation.
Meanwhile, the mountain passes will see heavy snowfall into the middle of the week. Snoqualmie Pass is forecast to get 5-9 inches Tuesday and another 2-4 inches on Wednesday; Stevens Pass could see accumulations above 15 inches by Thursday.
