Grab and Go Kid's Planner, July 20th

Still soaking in the summer festivities with this week's Grab and Go.

In and around our town there are a plethora of events to choose from.

A little bit of this. A little bit of that. And always entertaining for the whole family. Let's hope this "summer" weather cooperates!

 

Summer Story Hour

When/Where: 11 a.m. Thursday at the W.W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory in Tacoma.

Why Go: Listen to a good ole' old fashioned story telling among the flowers. This week's featured story is The Lorax. After all the moral of the story is "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, Nothing is going to get better. It's not."

Price: Free.

 

Play Tacoma

When/Where: 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Friday at Tacoma Nature Center.

Why Go: Enjoy outdoor fun and games in the great outdoors with entertainment and hiking with the family.

Price: Free.

 

19th Century Family Fun Night

When/Where: 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Friday at Fort Nisqually.

Why Go: Pack a picnic and the kids to check out entertainment of the olden days as you journey back to the 19th century with historic splendor. Refreshments are available while supplies last. And you may just learn a little something.

Price: $22 Family or $6 Adults, $4 Children, Free 3 and under.

 

Uptown Free Summer Concert Series

When/Where: 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday in the Uptown Gig Harbor Shopping Center.

Why Go: Jazzy, soulful rock. Outdoors. Shake that groove thang with the weeone. Need I say more? Oh yes, and see the price below.

Price: FREE.

 

Artful Science

When/Where: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Beginning Monday July 25th through Friday the 29th at the Tacoma Children's Museum.

Why Go: Art AND Science! Fuse together the mysteries of science to create masterpieces.

Price: $180 per child (ages K - 3rd Grade).
