Letter to the Editor: I Was Fined for Not Breaking the Law

A reader says he was charged a $50 fine even though the toll was deducted from his account.

Gig Harbor resident Stuart emailed the following note to Patch on Tuesday.

If you're in a similar situation regarding your Good to Go account with the Washington State Department of Transportation or have knowledge on the issue, we ask you to chime in and help him out in the comments section below.

Today I received notice from Good to Go that I did not win my appeal and must pay a $50.50 fine which I mailed today as well.

I was charged a fine even though the toll was deducted from my account so I was fined for NOT breaking the law.

Have you heard of any class action suits being formulated because I am sure there are others like me.

No problem. Welcome Brent. By the way, I'm a graphic artist, have any need for ad design?
