Over The Narrows Run Returns On Saturday
The 5K run, presented by the Rotary Club of Gig Harbor North, begins at the entrance of the Tacoma Narrows Airport.
The 4th Annual Over the Narrows Run, presented by the Rotary Club of Gig Harbor North, will take place this Saturday morning, Aug. 31.
The start of the 5K run is 9 a.m., at the entrance to the Tacoma Narrows Airport, at the intersection of Stone Drive NW and 26th Avenue NW.
This event is not a Pierce County Airport and Ferry Division event, nor is airport staff involved in any way. Traffic control personnel from the County Sheriff’s Department will be on site.
Those participating in this run will remain completely off airport at all times.
- Significant congestion can be expected in the area between 7:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
- Participants will be parking on the shoulders of both Stone Drive Northwest and 26th Avenue Northwest.
- Event organizers have been advised that airport users will need unfettered access to the airport at all times.
- Delays should be anticipated and allotting additional time for airport travel should be considered.
