Paving Work to Reduce Eastbound Tacoma Narrows Bridge to One Lane Friday Night

The triple-closure will reduce the bridge to one lane starting at 9 p.m. The work is scheduled to last to 5 a.m., Saturday.

Pending a stable weather forecast, crews plan to close three left eastbound State Route 16 lanes across the 2007 Tacoma Narrows Bridge Friday night at 9 p.m.

They will also close the 24th Street on-ramp to eastbound SR 16. All lanes and the ramp will reopen by 5 a.m. Saturday, June 15.

The triple-lane closure will reduce eastbound SR 16 traffic to one lane across the bridge. Eastbound motorists are advised to expect delays.
