Photo of the Day: Holiday Tree Arrives in Downtown Gig Harbor

The Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront Association posted the photo on its Facebook page Tuesday.

The holiday tree has officially made its way to Skansie Brothers Park in downtown Gig Harbor.

Joint Base Lewis-McChord has once again donated the tree, and the City of Gig Harbor Public Works Department transported the giant tree on Tuesday.

The Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront Association posted this photo on its Facebook page as crews used a crane to hoist the 45-foot tree. 

The City will be decorating the tree and the entire harbor in time for the .

You make a good point, Dan. However, the City of Gig Harbor is calling it a Holiday Tree... I suppose it's all about political correctness.

That's a big part of what's wrong today. political " uncorrectness " . What Holiday is it and has it been for so many years? Veterans day is a holiday... and we give thanks to the Veterans, no differances should be allowed to change that name. And we wonder why the state and countrys going to hell in a hand basket!!! Political Correctness is why!!
