Pierce County Library Launches New Phone Numbers
To give customers faster, better, easier service, Pierce County Library System installed a new telephone system.
Pierce County Library System recently installed a new telephone system to provide faster and better service to its customers. According to the library spokesperson, Mary Getchell, the Library System updated its 25-year old phone systems, which were falling apart and for which parts were no longer manufactured.
The Library’s new main phone number is now 253-548-3300. Here are the new numbers in Gig Harbor and Key Peninsula.

- : 253-548-3309.
The system brings customers faster service because when they call a library they can learn about open hours, events and more, or talk directly with a person during open hours.

The system provides better service because it stops or reduces the number of dropped or missed calls, compared with the old phones.
The system offers easier service, such as allowing staff to transfer calls among all buildings, versus giving the caller the phone number and having the caller, hang up, and make another call.
