Poll: Get Stuffed, Yam it Up or Stick with the Bird

What's the Thanksgiving Day dish that you go absolutely gaga over?

The cost of a traditional Thanksgiving Day dinner is up this year, by about 13 percent according to American Farm Bureau Federation. But most of us aren't about to let that put a damper on the holiday.

No other holiday is as intimately food-centric as Thanksgiving, a hearth-and-home event where family and friends gather together to stake stock of what they have and then chow down on the feast that's been spread out before them.

The basic menu lineup remains the same — turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberries, pumpkin pie. But everyone has a favorite that they've begun pining for days before dinner is actually served.

Personally, mine is stuffing. I've perfected my recipe over the years and make enough to ensure there's plenty left over to eat straight from the fridge for several days afterward.

Let Patch know what's the dish that you go absolutely gaga over by taking our poll. Yours not on the list? Have a special dish that mom always makes? Tell us about it in the comments below.

Can vote for everything mentioned? I'm just sayin'. Well, actually, I'm not a big pumpkin pie fan so I can do without that.

You should have a what is the worst dish poll ... and I bet brussel sprouts would win.

Jennifer, It totally depends on how you do the sprouts. Sliced, sauteed, a little bacon. Yum.
