Speed Boat Repeatedly Ran Over Whale Near Narrows Bridge, Reader Claims

The driver circled one whale, then ran over it several times as the whale splashed, head out of water, fins waving.

Last night, there were three grey whales swimming off of Pt. Fosdick in the water surrounding the Narrows Bridge. A small speed boat headed straight for them.

It circled one, then ran over it several times as the whale splashed, head out of water, fins splashing. The boat sped off straight toward the West.

Seagulls saw this and gave low cries as they swam beside the injured whale. The other two whales swam away.

This is against state and federal law. If you see this happen, get the number of the boat and call: 800-853-1964. This is a law enforcement marine number, open 24/7. Please try to get photos and number of the offending boat.
