VIDEO: Archbishop Desmond Tutu At The Tacoma Dome

South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu described how in order to live out God's word, people don't have to do things worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize.

"You don't have to do something spectacular," the global icon told the crowd of 15,000 on Friday night at the Tacoma Dome.

Instead, people need to stand up against human injustices. They have to help feed the poor. Those are the things that make a difference, Tutu said.

That's why , "Be The Spark," was so extraordinary to the archbishop, who fought apartheid in his home country. He marveled at how people, youth in particular, came together to change the world.

The night was filled with inspiration and hope. Local acts wowed the crowd with creativity, skills and musicianship.

Gov. Christine Gregoire told the children and teens in the crowd that it would be a night they would always remember.

And at the end, after Tutu delivered his message of peace and hope, he talked about how God was watching the Dome crowd and understood why they were there.

"Thank you, Tacoma," Tutu said.
