Boy Scouts of America Troop 282 of Gig Harbor held its annual Veteran's Day and flag retirement ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 11.
The event, which took place at Skansie Brothers Park, featured keynote speaker Eagle Scout Colonel Bruce Beyerly of the United States Air Force.
Troop 282, which has been organizing the event for the last eight years, spent six weeks to perfect the marching and firing of the rifles, according to Scout Master George Ratcliffe.
The troop meets every Monday at the Gig Harbor Elk's Lodge.
