Spencer and Traci Hoveskeland of Bottom Line Duo promise a romp through music history that features virtuosity, joy, a bit of competitiveness, and a well-tuned sense of humor between cello and bass. They are flirtatious, passionate, erudite and incredibly talented - Victor Borge with "strings attached."
The performance is presented in a chamber music "21st century" style, features music from Bach to Rock and honors many music genres in between.
The Hoveskelands were brought up in Port Angeles and received the beginnings of their musical careers from the Port Angeles public school system. They met for the first time in high school, continued their relationship and studies at Western Washington University in Bellingham and have graduated to performing internationally as well as in the U.S. They also devote a major part of their time insuring that music education continues in the public school systems with their "outreach" program.
The performance is sponsored by Two Waters Arts Alliance and hosted at the Key Peninsula Civic Center on Saturday, Nov. 3.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and performance begins at 8 p.m. A no-host wine bar will be available.
Tickets are $15 and available at the door or can be picked up at Sunnycrest Nursery and the Blend Wine Shop in Key Center. Student tickets will be available at the door for $1.
