Olalla Bluegrass (and Beyond) Festival

It's time to kick the city off your shoes!

Olalla Bluegrass Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary at the annual event on Saturday, Aug. 20.

The event features a pie contest and plenty of performances from bluegrass bands: The Sugarbeets, Coal Town, Moe Dixon, Bluegrass Regulators, Blackberry Bushes, Northern Departure, Deadwood Revival and Eclectic Cloggers. (Check out the YouTube videos for a preview of the festival.)

Gates open at 10 a.m., and performances start at 11 a.m. and go on until dusk at South Kitsap Southern Little League Field.

The festival benefits Olalla Community Club, a non-profit organization to support the Olalla community center, music programs in local schools and food bank.

  • Family pass, $36
  • Under 6, free
  • Parking, $2
  • Rough camping $10/night (no hookups)

11 a.m.: Deadwood Revival
Noon: Eclectic Cloggers
12:45: Blackberry Bushes
1:35: Berry pie contest & auction
2 p.m.: Northern Departure
3 p.m.: Bluegrass Regulators
4 p.m.: Coal Town
5 p.m.: Moe Dixon
6 p.m.: Kids' parade
7 p.m.: The Sugarbeets
