I for Eye Wins Battle of the Bands

Local teen band, I for Eye, won the grand prize at Saturday's Battle of the Bands in Gig Harbor.

It was a full house at the for the on Saturday.

Local bands, , 3L3R and , performed live in front of nearly 300 people, including three judges.

At the end of the competition, I for Eye walked away with the grand prize. Gig Harbor’s Kierah Taylor, Drew Ryan, Alec Bukata and Cole Rau will now get to have a recording session at Pacific Recording Studios in Tacoma for a 3-song demo CD.

The event, which was sponsored by Pacific Recording Studios and Ted Brown Music, raised money for the Cheney Family Boys & Girls Club.
