VIDEO: Singer Jaime Wyatt Gets Homecoming Welcome

Singer-songwriter Jaime Wyatt, who graduated from Gig Harbor High School in 2004, performed in front of a packed house at Morso on Friday.

Singer-songwriter Jaime Wyatt took the stage at on Friday night.

The 26-year-old, who moved to Los Angeles at age 17, was in her hometown for the .

Along with her parents, Rhonda Knight and Michael ONeill, Wyatt's friends and former teachers also attended the sold-out show.

"I loved my teachers because I loved writing, and being able to show them what I've learned and what I can do now--songwriting," she said.

Unlike her SoCal setting, Wyatt said her Gig Harbor fans were "polite". She even pointed out her appreciation for some fresh air--which could be considered as a luxury in Los Angeles.

"I can breathe here. It's amazing," she said.

The 2004 alumna, who also attended and Schools, said she's more open to coming back to her hometown in the Pacific Northwest.

"I'm in a different place, though, today too," she said. "I really appreciate where I grew up."
