UPDATE: Summer Sounds Celebrating 10th Anniversary

The people have spoken. Based on popular votes, the City of Gig Harbor announced the lineup for its tenth anniversary of Summer Sounds concert series.

The has announced the lineup for Summer Sounds at Skansie 2012 celebrating the tenth anniversary this summer. The extremely popular free outdoor concert series will begin on June 26 and run on consecutive Tuesdays through Aug. 28, celebrating ten concerts instead of the usual nine. 

All concerts start at 6:30 p.m. and are held on the waterfront in , in historic downtown Gig Harbor. Rain or shine and concerts are free.

“We asked our audience who they loved best from the past ten years,” said Laureen Lund, city marketing director and event coordinator. “They told us and we listened!”

Eight of this year’s ten performers were voted as the favorites from the past decade. Two additional groups were added to round out the season.

The Tenth Anniversary Season of Summer Sounds at Skansie is brought to you by the City of Gig Harbor and sponsors CenturyLink and St. Anthony Hospital.  All events are free. Bring your own chair or blanket. No tents or umbrellas allowed.  Gig Harbor parks are “smoke free”. Saving seats is subject to management discretion.
