Vote for Your Favorite Pierce County Library Card

A public vote will decide the next Pierce County Library System’s library card, designed by a local teen. Pierce County residents can cast their votes by clicking here. The online vote will be available until July 27.

During a free contest 138 teenagers submitted designs for the next library card. Their art included submissions using pencil, pen, paint, camera and computer. Any teenager in grades 7 – 12 living or attending school in Pierce County was eligible to enter.

Professional artists reviewed entries and selected 13 finalists:

• Alyse Lippert, Puyallup, Rogers High School
• Luke McAdams, Buckley, White River High School
• Ryne Peterson, Buckley, White River High School
• Carson Swart, Buckley, White River High School
• Lisa Vo, Tacoma, Truman Middle School
• Sierra Wilson, Buckley, White River High School

The Library will announce the winning design later this summer. The winning design will be used for 10,000 library cards that will be available for free, in addition to other designs that the Library offers, during the Library’s fifth annual card drive this fall.
