Beach Basket to Host Gig Harbor's Last Cash Mob of 2012

Shoppers are encouraged to spend about $20 at the event to receive special discounts and coupons.

Start your holiday shopping early at Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront Association’s Cash Mob at the Beach Basket/Beach Basket Christmas Shop on Thursday, Oct. 25, from 3 – 5 p.m.

This will be the last Cash Mob of the year, and shoppers are encouraged to join the mob by spending about $20 during the hours of the event.

Both the Beach Basket and the Beach Basket Christmas Shop will be participating. The Beach Basket has two separate stores right next to each other: women's apparel and gifts in one location and a three-story, year-round Christmas store in the other.

It offers a selection of discontinued items for a variety of collector sets as well. The Beach Basket will be offering $5 off a purchase of $20 or more, from 3 until 6 p.m. Each customer will also receive a coupon to be used on a future purchase.

Waterfront merchants were contacted to determine if they were interested in participating in a cash mob event. Those who responded “yes” were put into a drawing and a selection was made.

For additional information contact Josh Sherwin, GHHWA Special Projects Coordinator, at 360-990-9720.
