Black Friday in June? Old Navy's $1 Flip-Flop Sale on Saturday

The famous sale draws throngs of customers who share a passion for not wearing socks.

There are two events every year that have people lining up outside Old Navy when the doors open: the $1 flip-flop sale and the $15 sweater sale.

And since it's not winter yet, that can only mean one thing: It's flip-flop time this Saturday.

The mere idea of something for $1, let alone highly functional summer footwear, never fails to attract throngs of people to the store. Think Black Friday in June.

Seriously. You never know if you're going to get body-checked as you reach for the last pair of hot-pink ones in a size 8.

So here's what you need to know before you brave the crowds: Basic solid-color flip-flops will be $1 during Old Navy's One-Day Wonder sale this Saturday only. There is a limit of five pair per customer.

The $1 deal will include sizes for the whole family, but wedges and embellished, printed and leather styles are not included.

And a little tip from bargain hunters: If they are out of your size or preferred color, buy another size and exchange it once the stock is replenished. Old Navy generally has flip-flops in stock through August.

Although Gig Harbor doesn't have an Old Navy store, here are some locations nearby:

Tacoma Mall: 4502 South Steele St.; Hours: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Silverdale: 9551 Ridgetop Blvd. NW; Hours: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Lakewood: 5810 Lakewood Towne Center Blvd. SW; Hours: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Happy shopping!

Thank you, Akiko! Just wondering if there was some other reason for it that I didn't see. :)

No problem. Welcome Brent. By the way, I'm a graphic artist, have any need for ad design?
