These days, we’re all watching every dollar. From coupons to Craigslist, local families are taking advantage of a variety of deals to stretch their budgets even further.

This weekly column is dedicated to giving you five great local deals each week that will help your family save money, and since we are doing the legwork for you, save time, too.

Your guide for this low-cost journey is a self-proclaimed coupon queen who can empty the Baby Gap’s sales racks and the cereal aisle at for mere dollars.

The deal: Buy one Little Tikes toy up to $29.99; get one of equal or lesser value free. Popular items include Lil’ Rollin’ Giraffe Ride-On, 2-in-1 swing and pink and red toy shopping carts. Available in-store or online. Increase your savings by using these Little Tikes coupons for $5 off a $30 purchase or $10 off $100.

The deal: Buy a two- or three-item entrée plate and get a single-serving entrée free with this coupon. Options include orange chicken, broccoli beef and honey walnut shrimp. One coupon per person; cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotions.

4. Tully’s Coffee
The deal: Join the e-club for the Seattle-based coffee roaster and receive a coupon for a free barista beverage with the purchase of one of equal or lesser value. Lattes, mochas and blended Bellaccinos are on the menu; bring the kids along for a $1 hot chocolate perfect for little hands.

5. Old Navy
The deal: Snag women’s and girls' cropped cardigans for a mere $8 on Saturday during this deal of the day in-store only. A great stock-up price for spring. There is a limit of five per customer; the sweaters come in fun colors including Aqualicious, Lemon Decadence and Parakeet Green.
