  • Where/When: 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Friday, July 29 at .
  • Why Go: Charles and Rose Ann Finkel of Pike Brewing Co. will be at Morso this Friday for a good old-fashioned patio party. This is your chance to meet and ask questions to the people responsible for those famous Pike beers. The menu for the evening is stacked with delicious dishes straight off the grill, each paired with an appropriate Pike beer. Enjoy!

  • Where/When: 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Friday, July 29 at .
  • Why Go: Not all healthy food is necessarily good for you. Come to this educational seminar lead by Lighthouse Nutrition and Wellness of Gig Harbor to learn how some delayed food sensitivities may be escaping the results of your typical food allergy tests.
  • Cost: The presentation is free. If possible, please bring a canned food item to donate to the church food drive.

  • Why Go: Join Tacoma City Ballet for an evening of live music, ballet and a showcase of sensational art. View the stunning collections by local artists while you enjoy wine and dessert in the beautiful Jan Collum Ballroom. Live music and short dance works from Tacoma City Ballet will be performed throughout the night. 
  • Cost: $5 admission fee (includes dessert and a glass of wine). The event's proceeds from art sales go to the artists, with a small percentage and the admission fee benefiting the Jan Collum Memorial Scholarship Fund.

 

  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, July 30 at the .
  • Why Go: Live healthy and encourage others in your community do the same by attending Gig Harbor's National Night Out this Saturday. The many health topics and activities being offered include child car seat inspections, dental screenings, bounce house, activities for kids of all ages, Tai Chi for seniors, health care vendor booths, chair massages, nature walks, and mini workshops on a variety of topics. 
  • Cost: Free.

 

  • Where/When: 12 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Wright Park in Tacoma.
  • Why Go: Come celebrate the many cultures and ethnic groups that make up Pierce County at this two-day festival of exotic flavors, vivid costumes and dynamic rhythms. The festival features kid and family friendly activities, music and dance on two stages, exotic food vendors, arts from around the world, resource booths, and a free outdoor movie on Saturday night.
  • Cost: Admission is free.
