Gig Harbor Chamber Elects New Board Members

The seven new board members will serve three-year term starting in November.

The Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce elects new board members, all of whom will serve three-year terms, commencing in November 2013.

The 20-member board represents nearly 600 member businesses of Gig Harbor and surrounding areas.  The board’s role is to advise and consent on Chamber policy to help guide the Chamber staff as they work to provide support and resources to the business community as well as actively play a role in economic development. 

The Board of Directors Nomination Committee interviewed and identified candidates that were qualified to meet the requirements of a board position.

Re-elected to the Board of Directors are:  Pat Schmidt, Owner of DPI Print; Charles Cuzzetto, Superintendent of the Peninsula School District; Mitch Anderson, Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management; Kelsey Brown, Owner/Principal of MacKenzie Legal PLLC.; and Timothy Lopez, Insurance Agent at American Family Insurance.

New to the Board of Directors are: Alison Bennett, Division Director of Recruitment for Hospital Corporation of America; Cyndi Wilson, Owner of Wilson Properties; Erin Abrigo, Financial Advisor with Edward Jones; Allen Woodard, Vice President, Client Advisor, & Marketing Director at Sabin Investment Management, Mona Sarrensen, Sales Director for the Inn at Gig Harbor; Justin Stiefel, Founder/CEO of Heritage Distilling Company. Inc.; and Jay Johnson, Financial Advisor with Kaiser Wealth Management.

DPI Print owner Pat Schmidt, who has served on the board since 2011, will be the new chair for the 2014 Board of Directors, and Ray Grinberg of Peninsula Light Co. will serve as immediate past president.  New board members will begin their duties following the annual membership meeting on October 10th at Canterwood Golf & Country Club.
