Great Escape: Anthony's Sunset Dinners

What is better than a romantic dinner with a breathtaking view of the harbor? How about a delicious four-course dinner for a deal? Anthony’s Sunset Dinners, which are available Monday through Friday, offer an answer to the dinner dilemma. 

Each weekday from 4 to 6 p.m., Anthony’s at Gig Harbor offers you a choice of appetizer, soup or salad, entrée and dessert all for just $19.95 per person. The menu varies by availability of Northwest ingredients but always includes an impressive array of options. 

The current menu options include the following appetizers: fresh Oregon Bay shrimp cocktail, barbecue oysters, and Dungeness crab, shrimp and artichoke dip. For the soup or salad course, you may pair the Anthony’s clam chowder with either a classic Caesar or blue cheese salad.

The variety of entrees available is truly staggering at such a reasonable price. Entrée options include the golden pan-fried Willapa bay oysters; butterflied and roasted garlic prawns; top sirloin beef kabob with coconut prawns; Double R Ranch signature top sirloin; Manila clam linguine sautéed in garlic, butter, tomatoes and parsley; Dungeness crab salad with Louie dressing; and the Northwest duet, alder-planked Wild Alaska silver salmon and Oregon bay shrimp.

After so many delectable courses, it may be difficult to save room for dessert, but since it is included with the excellent price, hopefully you will find some space. Dessert options include Bailey’s Irish cream chocolate mousse, burnt cream or seasonal ice cream.

So all you have to do is find a babysitter and escape to a romantic dinner for two.
