Jersey Mike's Employee Helped Mother Park Her Car While Waiting For Trolley

A user on Gig Harbor Patch's Facebook page says the employee helped after another business asked the mother with two children to move her car.

Editor's note: This was posted on Gig Harbor Patch's Facebook page by user Kat Snider about her recent experience trying to park for the Gig Harbor Trolley near the Uptown Shopping Center:

I have to say "Thank You" to the very nice man that works at Jersey Mike's! (I didn't get his name).

On Friday, (Yes, rainy Friday) I decided to take a trolley ride and get some ice cream at Menchie's with my 2-year-old and 3-month-old.

So I parked at Menchie's at 10 till 11 a.m., got, out of my car, got my infant in his pack, got my back pack on and my 2-year-old with my mother, and we went to check the time for the trolley.

The owner (I think) of Menchie's came running out telling me to move my car! (they open at 11 a.m.) I tried to explain we were just planning riding the trolley and would be back to get yogurt. But she wanted me to park at somewhere else!

(I was) already with my 2-year-old in hand and 3-month-old in my front pack, back pack on and standing in the rain!! (Luckily it was more of a sprinkle at that time!) I couldn't believe it. Thankfully a man from Jersey Mike's came by, and I asked him to move my car, (as not to put everyone back in!)

He said I could park at his store, but he couldn't drive a stick, so he flagged down a man walking his dog, and he very kindly moved my car a few parking spots over! We then went on our trolley ride and came back to eat at Jersey Mike's (which I might add was very good!)
