Jersey Mike's Opens July 10 With FISH Fundraiser

Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled East Coast-style subs, will officially open its doors in Gig Harbor on July 10.

Franchise owner Jeff Gates will hold a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, July 10 to Sunday, July 14 to support Gig Harbor/Peninsula FISH. The new restaurant, located at 4819 Point Fosdick Drive N.W., will circulate 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Gig Harbor/Peninsula FISH.

The mission at Gig Harbor/Peninsula FISH is to provide emergency food, supplies, and financial assistance to individuals below the poverty income level. Support includes but is not limited to: medical payments, utilities, counseling, and rent assistance. The organization also provides support for children from low income families such as: counseling, school supplies, clothing, and scholarships for summer school, day camp, and tutoring. 

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.
