Peninsula Light Restores Power To 5,700 Homes Following Down Tree

Three hours after the tree damaged a power line feeding into two substations, the utility restored power around 8 p.m.

UPDATE: 8:32 p.m.

Peninsula Light Company posted on its Twitter page that it has restored power to the homes affected by today's storm and down tree. If you still don't have power, you should callΒ 253-853-1388.

And, the utility recognized the guys who worked hard during the outage to restore electricity: "By the way, a big hand to the PenLight Linemen and Operation staff for their great work and dedication.."

Monday's storm knocked out power to some 5,700 homes after a down tree took out a power line.

Peninsula Light Company is reporting that the power line is affecting both the Vaughn and Lakebay substations. The Longbranch area is also affected.

The utility estimates it will take four hours to repair and restore power completely.
