is considering moving into the Gig Harbor.
"Anyone who has been in our tap room knows we've needed a larger space," said co-owner Mike Runion.
The two-year-old craft brewer has filed for initial permits with the , but Runion cautioned that a move at this point is only potential and a long way from certain. The company is in the preliminary stages of discussions with Kidder Mathews, the property manager for the site owned by members of the Milgard family. With 18 months left on its existing lease, it has plenty of time to determine whether the move downtown would be suitable.
Seven Seas currently operates out of 3,000 square feet of space at 3207 57th St. Court NW, next to the . Despite its growth, it likely would only lease a portion of the 25,000-square-foot QFC site.
"We're not large enough to take all of it," Runion said.
Kidder Mathews has been shopping the space on Judson St. ever since it in February. Earlier in the year, broker had said the square footage could reasonably be divided into as many as three spaces if needed to attract appropriate tenants.
