In case you haven't heard, Gig Harbor has a new dog rescue. CHEW stands for Canine Health, Education & Welfare. The organization has been around for about 7 years as an advocate for an fully fenced off-leash dog park here in the harbor. Now that the dog park has been approved by PenMet, CHEW has expanded it's efforts to dog rescue. Our first rescue was in January of this year. Since then, we have successfully adopted out 38 dogs! We are a foster based organization and we need foster homes! If you are interested in fostering or volunteering in another manner for CHEW, please check us out at chewdogrescue.org! More to come.....
