Aviation Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Jacob Rorie, from Lake Bay, Wash., applies corrosive preventive compound to the tail section of an MH-60R Seahawk from the Raptors of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 71 in hangar bay three aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74).
The U.S. Navy’s John C. Stennis is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, theater security corporation efforts and support missions for Operation Enduring Freedom.
