Possible Snow Showers This Weekend

The National Weather Service is forecasting some snow showers on Friday and Saturday with little or no snow accumulation.

It looks like we're in store for another chilly weekend. The National Weather Service is predicting possible snow showers to hit across the Seattle and Tacoma area on Friday and Saturday.

While rain is forecasted throughout the weekend, experts aren't expecting any snow accumulations due to temperatures staying in the low 40s.

THE CURRENT FORECAST CALLS FOR A MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS OVER THE LOWLANDS OF WESTERN WASHINGTON ON FRIDAY. ONLY SPOTTY SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED WITH THE MAJORITY OF LOWLAND LOCATIONS REMAINING FREE OF ANY ACCUMULATIONS. WHERE SNOW ACCUMULATIONS DO OCCUR... SUNSHINE BETWEEN THE SHOWERS AND AIR TEMPERATURES WELL ABOVE FREEZING ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON WILL MELT MUCH OF WHAT ACCUMULATES.

This Afternoon: Rain. High near 48. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 11 to 14 mph increasing to between 23 and 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent.

Tonight: Showers likely, mainly before 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. Breezy, with a south southwest wind between 26 and 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Thursday: Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. Breezy, with a southwest wind between 21 and 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Thursday Night: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 35. Southwest wind between 13 and 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Friday: Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. South wind at 5 mph becoming north northeast. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Friday Night: A chance of rain showers before 10pm, then a chance of rain and snow showers. Snow level 1200 feet lowering to 500 feet. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Saturday: A chance of rain and snow showers. Snow level 500 feet. Partly sunny, with a high near 40. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 30.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 42.

Sunday Night: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38.

Monday: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 46.

Monday Night: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 42.
