Both Directions of SR-16 to Close Friday Night
WSDOT will be shutting off both directions of SR-16 at Olympic Drive on Friday. Westbound SR-16 will be closed on Sunday and Monday night.
As the Washington State Department of Transportation continues to work on the damaged bridge girder, here's an update to the road closures on State Route 16 for the next few days:
Both directions of SR-16 will be closed to all traffic in both directions at Olympic Drive on Friday night, April 6, from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Saturday morning for the removal of the old girder followed by the placement of the new one.
Traffic will be directed off the freeway at both off ramps and redirected back onto the freeway via the onramp at Olympic Drive. Traffic across the bridge will be reduced to one way in each direction under flagger control.

Sunday night, April 8, into Monday morning, April 9, and Monday night, April 9, into Tuesday morning, April 10, work will require the closure of the westbound direction of SR-16 between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. with traffic being diverted off and back onto the freeway at Olympic Drive.
The eastbound direction will not be affected. Traffic across Olympic Drive will be reduced to one lane under flagger control in each direction.
