Time to Spring Forward

Don't forget to set your clocks one hour ahead before going to bed Saturday. Daylight Saving Time starts Sunday, March 13.

It's that time of the year again. Before you go to bed tonight, don't forget to set your clocks one hour ahead. Daylight Saving Time officially starts at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 13.

In the meantime, the Washington State Fire Marshal's Office reminds you to change batteries in your smoke alarms.

β€œTake time to change the batteries in your smoke alarms, testing your smoke alarms, planning two ways out and practicing escape routes with the entire family.Β  Being prepared and knowing what to do if fire happens to occur can save your life and the lives of your loved ones,” said State Fire Marshal Charles M. Duffy.

Some smoke and carbon monoxide alarms only require you to change the battery once a decade if they use a 10-year lithium battery.
