Wind Advisory in Effect Through 11 p.m. Wednesday

A strong Pacific frontal system will bring windy conditions to Western Washington through Wednesday evening.

The National Weather Service in Seattle issued a wind advisory in effect from 9 a.m. through 11 p.m. on Wednesday.

The advisory affects most of Western Washington areas, including Tacoma, Seattle, Bremerton and Olympia.

According to the advisory, strong winds will develop behind a cold front that moves across the area this morning. Winds will be strongest this afternoon and evening.

Southwest winds could pick up to 15 to 30 mph with gusts to 50 mph.

Winds this strong can break small tree branches and cause power outages.
