Native Tree Planting

The waters of Filucy Bay provide important marine and nearshore habitat for salmon, productive growing beds for shellfish, and recreational opportunities for visitors and residents.

Volunteers are needed to help plant more than 400 trees and shrubs that will establish a new riparian area on a local farm to help intercept polluted run-off and keep it from reaching the bay.

Directions and other event information will be sent upon registration. Please contact the Pierce Conservation District to register: (253) 845-9770, streamteam@piercecountycd.org.
