Rain Barrel Workshop

Have you
ever wanted a simple way to collect, store, and use the abundant Washington
rainfall for your personal irrigation needs, rather than paying for what comes
out of your hose?  Rain barrels are one
way home owners can harvest the rain, and this workshop will help get you
started.

Sponsored by
the City of Gig Harbor and the Pierce Conservation District, this workshop will
cover the history of rain
water harvesting and best uses for rain barrel water, and provide guidance to assemble
and take home your very own 60-gallon rain barrel (free!), ready for
installation under a gutter of your choice!

Pre-registration is
required
, and there
is a limit of one free rain barrel per household.  With only 20 spots available, register
soon!  Priority may be given to Gig Harbor
residents if class exceeds capacity, but all interested participants are
encouraged to register.
