Canterwood Residents Gear up for Emergency Preparedness Event on April 28th
Presentations, booth displays, emergency supplies and kid's activities are the highlights of an event designed specifically for Canterwood residents.
On Sunday, April 28th from 3 - 6pm, the Canterwood Golf & Country Club will be a hot spot of activity for Canterwood residents and members.
Earlier this year, Gig Harbor Home Management launched a campaign to encourage Gig Harbor homeowners to be ready for unexpected emergencies.
By offering simple and achievable steps during each month of 2013, along with resources and consultation, the Simply Prepared Campaign's goal is to move individuals towards a basic level of preparedness while removing obstacles that often cause procrastination and discomfort.

Encouraging ACTION is the key....and Canterwood residents will have their first major opportunity this coming Sunday. A variety of presentations will be given by:
- The Red Cross
- Pierce County Department of Emergency Management
- Peninsula Light
- Puget Sound Energy
- Northwest Response
