The City of Gig Harbor has announced the line up for SUMMER SOUNDS AT SKANSIE 2011. The extremely popular free outdoor concert series will begin on June 28th and run on consecutive Tuesday through August 23rd. All concerts start at 6:30pm and are held on the waterfront in Skansie Brothers Park, in historic downtown Gig Harbor.
This year’s opening act is Gig Harbor’s own Perry Acker Band. The Beatniks (featuring local Gig Harbor singers) will also return. “I feel this is our best and most diverse line-up yet” said Laureen Lund, City of Gig Harbor Marketing Director and concert coordinator since the concerts began in 2003. “I expect very large crowds for all of these concerts and we are working on some new plans for expanded safety and comfort of our concert guests.”
