Volunteer Opportunity for the Shenandoah Restoration Project

The first phase of the Shenandoah Restoration Project is ready to go! Lead shipwright Nate Slater is heading the project and he has many ideas for the restoration and accompanying visitor interaction.

At the special project information meeting, Slater, project coordinator Warren Balfany, and museum curator Vicki Blackwell will be talking about the project, the various volunteer opportunities from hands-on to public education, and the goals for the completion of this first phase of restoration. They will take you on a tour through the future shipwright shop and alongside the boat itself.

If you are not able to attend the meeting but are interested in volunteering, please send Vicki an email at ο»Ώvicki@harborhistorymuseum.org to schedule another time to meet.
