Peninsula Schools Get $356,380 Rebate Check From Peninsula Light

The rebate is the result of a partnership between the District and Peninsula Light Company to retrofit several buildings with new energy efficient lighting equipment.

Peninsula Light Company CEO Jafar Taghavi recently presented Peninsula School District with a rebate check for $356,380.

The rebate is the result of a partnership between the District and Peninsula Light Company to retrofit several buildings with new energy efficient lighting equipment.

The rebate dollars allowed the District to expand the scope of the project and complete lighting upgrades at several sites in the District. With the assistance of the dollars received from Peninsula Light Company, the District now has energy efficient lighting equipment installed in schools and offices throughout the District.

It is expected that the upgrades will save the District in both utility and maintenance costs.
