Celebrate Halloween at 'Trick-or-Treat in the Harbor'

The 16th annual event is free and open to the public.

Come celebrate Halloween at the annual "Trick-or-Treat in the Harbor" in Gig Harbor's Historic Waterfront District on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

The event, in its 16th year, will feature local businesses greeting you and passing out sweets and treats! They will be handing out candy from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

While you are there, make sure to check out the Harbor WildWatch “spooky” touch tanks. Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One will also have a fire engine and medic unit on Harborview for kids to see!

Photos of your trick-or-treaters will be available in the Skansie Brothers Park pavilion, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Gig Harbor North. Rotary will be accepting $5 cash donations to support the local Food Backpacks for Kids program.

In order to provide a safe venue for the Trick-or-Treaters, Harborview Drive will be closed from the intersection of Soundview Drive and Judson Street and around the waterfront to Rosedale. Pioneer Way will also be closed from Harborview to Tarabochia Street.
