Donations Needed for Henderson Bay Fireworks

The organizers for Henderson Bay Fireworks Show say this year will be bigger than the last, but they still need the community's help.

The Henderson Bay Fireworks Show is returning to Gig Harbor this Fourth of July, but organizers say they need the community's help.

"The fireworks show is definitely on and it will be spectacular this year," said Bob Babare, who is one of the organizers for the annual display. "The fireworks will be larger than last year and the barge will be located a little farther out so more can enjoy it."Β

He also said Taylor Shellfish has generously offered to supply Honey Buckets along the Purdy Spit to accommodate for those watching the show from the beach. Β

Nonetheless, organizers say they are still trying to meet the costs of the display and would appreciate any contribution.Β

Local residents are encouraged to send donations to the following address:

Henderson Bay Fireworks Show
11222 70th Ave. NW
Gig Harbor, WA 98332

"We would really appreciate your support so that this amazing family celebration of our great country can continue," Babare said.
