Holiday Pet Photographs

I memorialize all of my pets with regular photos. I have created an album for each dog or cat I have owned.

I purchased my first Golden Retriever, Arrow, in 1971. I was a novice dog owner back then. I attended Lynne Patterson's obedience classes held at gym. I became hooked on obedience as well as Golden Retrievers.

Over the years I have had seven wonderful Goldens. Each was special in its own way. For comic relief I also lived for twelve and a half years with a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Foxy. The Goldens had no doubt that she was in charge. But if truth be told all the dogs knew that the cats, Kitty Too, Cleo, Lily and Hope really ruled the roost.

During those years I saved photos of the dogs and my children as they all grew up. While I still have photo albums I now use my computer to document their lives. Gig Harbor is such a dog-friendly town and Gig Harbor residents are the best dog owners. So I wanted to include a reminder in this blog that the Holidays are a good time to add to your pet memory books or computer albums.

Holiday Pet Portraits next Saturday November 19th from 11-4PM at , 3302 Harborview Dr. Gig Harbor. The cost is $10.00 for a 5x7. You can order more. Proceeds to benefit C.H.E.W.'s New Dog Rescue Program.

The boat is heading toward the Tacoma side of the bridge. Gig Harbor is well astern. If the tideRead More is going out, and the boat maintains its heading, it will wind up at Sunset Beach off to the left of the picture.

Ugh. That's not good, Starla. How many times a week do you and husband cross, or at least try toRead More cross that crosswalk.

I have seen orange flags (like the kind you use on the boat with a water skier) used at crosswalksRead More in Redmond. Perhaps putting a PVC pipe in the ground on either side of the road or attached to the nearby sign posts with a few flags inside for you to hold out/carry to the other side when you're crossing would be helpful?
Starla Storset June 15, 2013 at 11:10 am
Brent, we cross it about at least once a week.
