Twelve New Year Resolutions for Pet Owners for 2012

Don't forget to add your pets to your New Year resolutions.

  1. I will find a way in my busy schedule to exercise my dog and cat every day.

  • I will make my cat an indoor cat increasing its lifespan and protecting the bird population.

  • I will research the food I am feeding my dog at www.dogfoodadvisor.com

  • I will  always pick up after my dog.

  • I will bring my dog and cat to the veterinarian every year for an annual physical even if it does not need vaccinations.

  • I will remember that beginning in 2012 Rabies Vaccine is now required by
    Washington State Law.

  • I will groom my dogs and cats regularly. Removing mats and clipping nails.

  • I will train my dog so that it is a better Canine Citizen.

  • I will license my pets in my area of residence.

  • I will include all my pets in my family emergency preparedness plan. http://www.fema.gov/plan/prepare/animals.shtm

  • I will spay or neuter my pets to prevent overpopulation.

  • I will remember that I chose my pets and therefore it is my responsibility to
provide them with a forever home.
